A Layout Full of Texture & Dimension with Fresh Start | Camino García

Hello crafty friends! It’s Camino here, and today I’m sharing a new 12" x 12" layout full of texture, dimension, and playful details. Using the new Fresh Start collection, I combined color, stitching, and fussy-cut elements to create a design that feels light, vibrant, and full of movement.

Step by step instructions:

1- Create the background. Choose the two color wheel papers from the 6" x 8" paper pack.

2- Select your main elements. Choose the half of each circle with the color palette that best matches the photo. Find the right threads to embroider these colors.

3- Work on your composition. Cut out each colored triangle and sew it onto the design, creating a composition that illustrates and tells our story.

4- Prepare your photo. Remove the background from the photo if necessary - fussy cutting the main element - and add it to the project.

5- Embellish. Decorate with flowers fussy-cut from the papers and add small elements like enamel dots and puffy stickers from the collection.

6- Finishing touches. Add the title and other phrases matching the colors of all the page's elements.

Tip: Use the embroidery stitches not only to decorate the page, but also to stitch together the paper elements that make up the design, so that those pieces will never come loose!
