Layering Florals & Die Cuts with Fresh Start | Karlla Dauer

Hi Pinkfresh Friends. Karlla here, and I'm so happy to share a new project with you. For this layout, I chose to use the beautiful 'Fresh Start' collection and create a layout in the style I love. With lots of layers, cutouts, and grouping the embellishments on a certain side of the sketch.

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Use the dark floral paper as the background for the layout.
2. For the base, use two white cardstocks measuring 11x11"
3. Stack them on top of each other (not too close to the edge) and do an irregular stitch around to finish it off.
4. Position and glue this overlay over the background, and gently lift the edges of the two white cardstocks. This adds more texture to the project.
5. With the striped paper from the collection, cut 6x10" and stick it on the base with foam tape.
6. Stick the photo with foam tape.
7. On the floral paper, cut out some big flowers.
8. Glue these flowers along with the others you find in the 'Floral Ephemera.' They have different layers of foam tape to create dimension.
9. With the 'Chipboard Stickers,' stick the title on the photo and the other elements on the white background.
10. Still about the photo, stick the tag with the camera that is in the 'Layered Stickers'.
11. Add on the white some mini washi tapes from 'Ephemera' and a butterfly from 'Floral Ephemera'.
12. Apply the word 'Love' from the 'Rub-ons'.
13. Finish with the small details for "Enamel Shapes" and "Puffy Stickers".
